We went to Utah for Thanksgiving this year, staying at Aunt Shannon's house. Here are some of the kids making some cookie turkeys just before dinner.
We had costumes for a Thanksgiving play, but never got around to actually putting on the play. The kids had fun dressing up anyway.
One of the best parts of staying at Aunt Shannon's house was playing in her back yard. They had an awesome rope swing.
And Tanner's pet rabbit is out there.
Tyson loved the rope swing.
And playing basketball on their sport court, with the Utah mountians (that I love) in the background.
Another highlight of the trip was hanging out with Grandpa Jayson. He took everyone up into the canyon for a fire and hot dog cook out. We brought some fishing poles (there was a creek right by us). Our will never get tired of a fire!
Unfortunely, Tyson got a black eye on this trip. He just turned around too fast with out looking and ran right into a banister post on the upstairs balcony.
One of the things I really wanted to to do was take the kids to visit the lights at temple square. Unfortunately that turned out to be a huge disaster. A few kids had gotten sick the day before and thrown up (thanksgiving day, right before and after dinner). We rode the train to temple square from aunt Monica's house, but once we got there Sydney's stomach started hurting. She was miserable the whole time and held a bad in front of her ready to barf. So we ended up leaving about 5 to 10 minutes after getting there. Tyson and Carson weren't even interested, they were tired and cold.
Sydney about to barf. In the end, Sydney ever threw up that night. But Tyson threw up the next day, and Sydney finally threw up two day after that.
However, the drive there and back was great. The kids were good, Lance and I enjoyed the time together too. It was a great trip! (And I loved having my sisters pamper me while I wasn't feeling good from pregnancy, they never let me cook or clean up, they are so awesome)
